:ast week i saw the magnificent seven. It was a revisionist western about seven men who decide to help a small town from bandits who are stealing the towns crops. I thought the acting was quite good, and the fight scenes were quite well done. Not only do the fight scenes seem natural they seem realistic. This movie does not contain the corny all hero's live thing that everyone is use to. Also i think the overall plot of the film was good, there were quite a few twists that i didn't expect. Also all of the characters helped really bring the story to life for me. One great line that i can remember is "7 that fought like 700". This line really sums up the movie for me, it incorperates the western hero with the action of a modern day film.

Overall I felt that Citizen Kane was one of the better movies I had ever seen. There were many times when I felt that the movie needed to have more action. Meaning that the movie seemed to get slow, but overall I felt the movie was very good.

A specific part of the movie I liked was when Kane is in the opera house and he is viewing Susan’s performance. Once she has completed singing he seems to be initially stunned, then tries to get the crowd into it by standing up and clapping loudly. It is pretty funny to se Kane trying to get everyone into it even though just seconds before he saw for himself how bad she was. This scene really shows his desperation to make Susan a singer and a true opera star.

Overall I thought this was a pretty good movie. It didn’t really seem like that deep of a plot at first, the search for “rosebud”. But as the movie went on I found that the movie was not so much about “rosebud” but more about describing Kane’s life.
