personally i really like film noir, i really like the current movie we are watching out of the past. maybe it just because of the dialog, but i also think another reason that i like out of the past is that it is a crime drama. i have always liked crime drama's. one feature that i dont really like about film noir is the low-key lighting at cirtian points in the film out of the past you can even see the actors face's. the only problem with simply removing low-key lighting from film noir is that it is such an import part of that specific genre. film noir almost requires low-key lighting.
